Confirmation CertificateThis certificate commemorates the Confirmation of Miss Maybelle Kelley on June 20, 1904, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Northeast 1st Street in Gainesville. The Rt. Rev. Edwin Weed, Bishop of Florida, performed the ceremony. May, born about 1890 to a family from the Windsor area, became an accomplished artist. She married David Goldsmith Edwards (nicknamed "Day"), who operated a sawmill. The certificate was copied with the permission of Mrs. Edward's grandson, James Duke.
